Dispatch and delivery time

Last Order Date - Holiday Gifts

December 12th is the last order date for deliveries before December 24th. The date is not guaranteed, but meant as a guideline. External factors beyond our control (strikes, weather conditions, etc) may cause additional delays, as may recipient addresses in remote locations. The last order date is based on normal conditions. Exceptional conditions may result in your order arriving after December 24th.

Orders placed after December 12th may still arrive in time. We use very fast shipping methods, but during this season everything is often delayed.

Your order will be shipped with the service available in your region. We process all orders during our main service hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am till 5:00 pm CET. Please note that this does not include products that are made to order. Normal delivery times are:

  • FedEx Shipping (North America): 1-10 working days
  • PostNord Shipping (Sweden, Finland): 1-10 working days
  • DHL Economy Shipping (European Union): 1-10 working days
  • DHL Express Shipping (Globally): 1-10 working days

All orders are fully traceable using a tracking service. A notification will be sent to your email upon dispatch of your order along with your tracking number. Please note that we cannot deliver to post office boxes or military bases. 

DISCLAIMER: There may be exceptions to the delivery times presented here, depending on your location. The couriers don't have full coverage in remote areas and need to hire subcontractors at times to handle their deliveries.

Shipping Costs

We have managed to negotiate very affordable Worldwide shipping costs from Sweden, even though they are ever increasing in the wake of the pandemic, wars, inflation etc. We are thus able to offer a flat shipping rate of $14.90 (or equivalent in local currencies) to North America and Europe. Other regions have a flat shipping rate of $24.90 (or equivalent in local currencies).

 

Taxes and duties

VAT is added to the price within the EU, unless you operate a business and have a VAT number. Customers outside of the EU are excluded from VAT.

It is possible that orders outside of the EU may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the Products reach specified destinations. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please check with your local customs for more information.

All couriers (FedEx, DHL, UPS etc.) charge a processing fee if your country charges the import taxes. This is usually a flat rate fee to cover their administrative costs with handling the paperwork and communications with the customs department of your country.

USA: In this current moment (January 2021), any articles imported for personal use with a value of under $800 can be imported duty free, and any articles imported for personal use with a value between $800 and $1800, will be subject to a flat 4% duty rate.

Canada: All couriers charge a processing fee in Canada on top the import taxes to cover their administrative costs with handling the paperwork and communications with the customs department. Please check with DHL Canada for more info.

UK: From January 1, 2021, all UK orders above 135 GBP are excluded from VAT in our shop. The UK government may, however, charge domestic VAT on your order. Please look up your local rules and regulations for more details. In this current moment (January 2021), you can import goods into the UK valued up to 135 GBP without paying any import taxes.

Brexit and the UK

With the United Kingdom leaving the EU on January 1, 2021, there are a number of new regulations that come in force. We have implemented them all and are able to ship to the UK as we've always done.

  • Orders under 135 GBP: UK customers will pay UK VAT rates in our shops on orders up to 135 GBP. No additional taxes or import fees should be applied to those orders when they enter the UK. Valheim will instead be invoiced the collected VAT by the UK government.
  • Orders of 135 GBP and above: UK customers will have no VAT added to orders totaling 135 GBP or more in our shop. The VAT, together with possible import tax, is collected from you, the customer, at the UK border. In other words, to make everything as simple as possible, it is better to place two separate orders that each total less than 135 GBP, than one large order totaling more than 135 GBP.

Corona Virus (Covid 19) Update

Despite the current situation due to the Virus outbreak, we are still delivering orders as usual with our standard FedEx and DHL courier services. They have one of the world's largest transportation networks with their own airplanes and trucks that also play a key role in transporting medical equipment and medicine around the world. FedEx and DHL are following the guidelines and regulations coming from local governments to ensure the safety and health of their personnel and customers. This may result in a slightly longer delivery times in certain countries and/or regions where rules of quarantine etc. are in force.

P.O Boxes, Military Bases and faulty addresses

Please note that FedEx and DHL do not accept deliveries to P.O. Boxes or military bases. If such addresses, or addresses that aren't correct, or are written using a different set of characters, are registered it may cause a delay to the dispatch, or cancel your order, or result in the order being returned to us. If the order has been sent to such an address and returned to us, then only the value of the ordered items will be refunded.

Payment

You can see prices in the webshop listed in several currencies. Pick the currency of your liking in the top row. We accept card payments with Visa, MasterCard and American Express. You can also choose to pay with PayPal. When selecting PayPal as payment option at checkout, you will be directed to the PayPal site to 'Log in' and review the amount shown before clicking 'Pay Now'. Once this transaction is complete, you will then return to valheim.shop.

Return Policy

To give you greater peace of mind for Holiday gifts, we've extended our returns policy for purchases made between November 20th and December 24th 2023. They can be returned until January 14th 2024.

You can return any item for a refund within 14 days of receiving your original order. You will need to use the original packaging and stuffing, making sure that everything is wrapped up and protected just as when you received the package. Returned products that are not sent in the original packaging will not be accepted. Exceptions to this rule are jewelry, apparel, patches, stickers and key chains that can be sent securely packaged in your own parcels. 

Once our warehouse have received and processed your return we will notify you via email. Please have in mind that we do not accept returns of books, CDs, DVDs, underwear, hygiene articles or products made to order or otherwise tailored to your specification. This includes all items listed under the Premium Items category of the shop. You must keep the products in your possession and take reasonable care of them. In addition, you must return the products to us as soon as possible at your cost and risk, in the same condition in which you received them. Make sure to include your name and your order number in the package. We suggest that you use a registered delivery service for the shipping to reduce the risk of the products not reaching us. We will refund the price you paid for your item to your original payment method within 14 days. Please note that it might take up to 5 business days until the transaction is visible on your bank statement. Unfortunately we cannot refund extra charges such as taxes and duties that may have been collected upon delivery, please contact your local customs office to issue a refund for these fees.

Complaints

We try to ensure that your goods arrive free from defects. However, should you receive faulty items or an incorrect delivery, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after delivery. Your views are highly valued, therefore we ask you to contact us to give us your opinions and express your concerns.

Products returned by you because of a defect will be examined by us. Where evidence of a defect is found we will notify you of your entitlement to a replacement product, or a refund for the defective product. Where a refund is requested, we will process the refund to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day we confirmed to you that you were entitled to a refund for the defective item. Please note that variations in handmade products do not qualify as a defect, since it is an expected result in handmade products.
